Our Story

On The Go Jo began as a venture of three girlfriends looking to bring the magic of specialty coffee to events throughout the Chicagoland area. Outfitted in our signature red lips, we traveled around the city with our mobile coffee cart serving innovative coffee beverages that pushed the boundaries of the traditional cup of Jo. After taking that first sip of our coffee at events, so many of our customers would say, "Oh wow! Is there a way I can get this at home?" We knew they were joking, but then we thought, "Why not?" It was a natural next step to expand the coffee experience we offer to our clients. Transitioning from event only service to shipping our delicious coffee directly to your home. Now you don’t have to wait for a special event to enjoy On The Go Jo!

WHY EMPOWER WOMEN

IN COFFEE?

Coffee farming and harvesting is traditionally man’s work. However, in reality, women worldwide perform 70% of labor on coffee farms, according to the National Coffee Association. By sourcing coffees grown by women producers, we seek to elevate and empower them within their families, communities, and within the industry. Empowering women in coffee not only encourages a fundamental need to support all genders, but it also provides economic benefits to coffee-producing societies, including reducing hunger in developing countries.

Women Produced

We work with women producers who are just as passionate about delivering the best coffee as we are. Although women around the world play a vital role in delivering coffee to our cups, their faces are still not seen and their voices are still not heard. We are here to transform the perception of women’s roles in bringing coffee to our customers. We empower women through coffee.

Women Roasted

Why not empower women throughout the entire supply chain? That's why our beans are roasted by women in small batchesto bring out the inherit flavors, reflective of its origin.

Women Owned

We work with women producers who are just as passionate about delivering the best coffee as we are. Although women around the world play a vital role in delivering coffee to our cups, their faces are still not seen and their voices are still not heard.
