The H.L. Snyder Medical Foundation established a scholarship fund to assist
Winfield High students who are seeking education in the medical and bio-medical fields.

Newman University - GRIT Award (Guts/Resilience/Intelligence/Talent)
Seniors planning to attend Newman University.
Up to $16,000 per year - 5 awards available
Qualifications:
1. GRIT The nominees have grit. They are determined and resilient. They bounce back over and over when they fail. They have a strong inner drive for achievement and service.
2. Challenging Lives The nominees will have often led challenging lives because of family situations, living conditions, or lack of opportunity. They may deal with emotional or physical challenges of various types, either their own or those of family members.
3. Modest GPA Because of their life challenges or the pandemic, the nominees may not have the best GPA, likely between 2.25 and 3.5. If below 2.25, they are eligible for a special admittance consideration

William Newton Healthcare Foundation - Healthcare Work Commitment Scholarship
Scholarship for Winfield High School seniors that aspire to a career in healthcare.
Applicant must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applicant must maintain a 3.0 GPA while maintaining 12 hours or more.
Applicant must be willing to sign a Work Commitment Agreement with WNH.

KanOkla Scholarship Program
$1000 scholarships; scholarships are available for Academics, Vocational, and 2 by random drawing of all eligible applicants.
Applicants must be a KanOkla broadband or landline customer in good standing, who lives within the KanOkla service area or be a dependent of a KanOkla customer.
GPA must be 2.3 or higher.

KSHSAA True Blue Scholarship (Kansas State High School Activities Association)
Students must be seniors attending and graduating from a member school of the Kansas State High School Activities Association during the 2023-24 school year and have rostered in the chosen activity their senior year. They must be considered as students in good standing as confirmed by their building principal. Students must enroll and attend a post-secondary institution of their choice as a full-time student within two years of graduation. Applicants must be in their final semester of high school. If you are a Division I bound athlete, please check with your institution about eligibility for this scholarship before applying.

Winfield Noon Kiwanis Group Scholarship
Winfield Noon Kiwanis is a service organization whose mission is to benefit children and communities. Because of our service focus, we seek applicants who have been involved in school/community service activities.
Two $500 scholarships awarded to area high school seniors.
One awarded to an applicant attending a technical/vocational/junior college; the other will be presented to a student attending a four- year college/university.

To be eligible:
Student must exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service, and potential for future success.
Must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0
Must be a senior (under the age of 20 at the end of the calendar year)
Must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada.
Must plan to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution full-time or part-time in the following academic year.
Is recommended by a local P.E.O. Chapter.
Interviews will take place in October 2023. Winners will be announced in April 2024.
