H.S. Snyder Healthcare Foundation Scholarship

The H.L. Snyder Medical Foundation established a scholarship fund to assist

Winfield High students who are seeking education in the medical and bio-medical fields.

Variable amounts awarded.

Newman University - GRIT Award (Guts/Resilience/Intelligence/Talent)

Seniors planning to attend Newman University. 

Up to $16,000 per year - 5 awards available

Qualifications:
1. GRIT   The nominees have grit.  They are determined and resilient.  They bounce back over and over when they fail. They have a strong inner drive for achievement and service.
2. Challenging Lives   The nominees will have often led challenging lives because of family situations, living conditions, or lack of opportunity.  They may deal with emotional or physical challenges of various types, either their own or those of family members.
3. Modest GPA   Because of their life challenges or the pandemic, the nominees may not have the best GPA, likely between 2.25 and 3.5. If below 2.25, they are eligible for a special admittance consideration

William Newton Healthcare Foundation - Healthcare Work Commitment Scholarship

Scholarship for Winfield High School seniors that aspire to a career in healthcare.

Applicant must be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Applicant must maintain a 3.0 GPA while maintaining 12 hours or more. 


Applicant must be willing to sign a Work Commitment Agreement with WNH.

Scholarship $500 - $1000 per semester for each recipient that meets eligibility requirements.

Florence Stephens Scholarship

Eligibility: WHS Senior with strong academic emphasis (GPA & ACT), 250 word essay outlined in the application.

Award:  $5,000 1st year, $2500 per semester.  Must maintain 3.0 GPA each semester in college.

Four County Mental Health Scholarship

Two scholarships of $250 will be awarded

Kansas County Clerks & Election Officials Association Scholarship

$500 Award

Applications are on the scholarship board; mail or email completed applications to the address on the form.

KanOkla Scholarship Program

$1000 scholarships; scholarships are available for Academics, Vocational, and 2 by random drawing of all eligible applicants.  

Applicants must be a KanOkla broadband or landline customer in good standing, who lives within the KanOkla service area or be a dependent of a KanOkla customer.  

GPA must be 2.3 or higher.  

Applications can be printed from the website; however, the online forms are preferred.

KanOkla Scholarship -- Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Program

$500-$7000 scholarship available - amount varies based on variety of criteria.
Most scholarships are $2500 (30 national scholarships of $2000 each, plus an additional $500 given by KanOkla to the area winners)

Applicants must be a KanOkla broadband or landline customer in good standing or be a dependent of a KanOkla customer, inside or outside the cooperative boundaries.  

GPA must be 2.0 or higher.

KSHSAA True Blue Scholarship (Kansas State High School Activities Association)

Students must be seniors attending and graduating from a member school of the Kansas State High School Activities Association during the 2023-24 school year and have rostered in the chosen activity their senior year. They must be considered as students in good standing as confirmed by their building principal. Students must enroll and attend a post-secondary institution of their choice as a full-time student within two years of graduation. Applicants must be in their final semester of high school. If you are a Division I bound athlete, please check with your institution about eligibility for this scholarship before applying. 

Thirty four total scholarships, payable to post-secondary institution

$2,000 one-time award, non-renewable

The scholarships listed below are offered to current WHS graduating seniors.  Before applying, please note any specific scholarship requirements (required extra-curricular activities, GPA, college attending, etc.) to verify if you are eligible for the particular scholarship.

For WHS seniors who will be continuing their education studies at a Trade School or College. 

Viking Booster Club Scholarship

This scholarship is available to a WHS graduating senior with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

The applicant must have participated in 2 activities for a minimum of 2 consecutive years.

$500 scholarship awarded.

Applicant must maintain full time status, 12 hours or more per semester. 

Applicant must have financial need.

WNEA Student Scholarship Application

Winfield Noon Kiwanis Group Scholarship

Winfield Noon Kiwanis is a service organization whose mission is to benefit children and communities. Because of our service focus, we seek applicants who have been involved in school/community service activities.

Two $500 scholarships awarded to area high school seniors.

One awarded to an applicant attending a technical/vocational/junior college; the other will be presented to a student attending a four- year college/university.
