Kids wanted xlb and this place was at the palo alto farmer's market so decided to try it out. Their food is not cheap and not even reasonably priced! Xlb was 2 for $6.50! Compared to other xlb restaurants, they're going for about $1.50 each. This place is more than 2x the cost! Suffice to say, I didn't even get to try it to see if they were even remotely worth it (but judging from the looks, they did not).

I tried the crab & shrimp dumpling and it was ok. The skin was a bit thick. The pork buns weren't also mediocre, lacking flavor.

Overall, I cannot recommend this place. It's way over-priced and average quality.

This was $22!!!! 2 xlb, 3 shrimp dumplings, 4 small pork buns.

Low to medium 3.5 out of 5. Caught their stall at the Grand Lake Farmer's market in Oakland. I wasn't expecting the dim sum to be tiny in size, but overall majority of the flavors were there for the items ordered. Wasn't a fan of the chili oil, personally I prefer the crunchy chili oil. Items ordered:

      Black truffle shrimp 4
      Steam pork bun 2
Dungeness crab and shrimp 3 pc
Chicken sticky rice in lotus leaf 2
      Su mai 4
      Chive dumpling 4
      Chicken and mushroom 4

Flavor wise 4 out of 5 for majority of it.

      Crab and shrimp/Truffle shrimp/pork bun 3 out of 5

*Didn't taste much of the truffle.

Overall would come back to this stall and recommend.

Very poor quality, small and ugly. Bought to try, tasted bad.

Ok guys they do taste good but at what point is a dumpling too small? 6 teaspoon sized dumplings for $22-25. Can't quite recall. The tiniest dumplings I've ever seen.

The cashier woman was unnecessarily rude. Some prices on the stand outside were smudged, so fix the stand if you don't want to be asked how much things are. The scallion pancakes and pork bun were expensive but decent, nothing special.

A line is usually a sign of something good. Right? I was jonesing for some Dim Sum. Even though there is a line it moves quickly. Be ready to order when you get to the front. We ordered the Crispy Chicken Football (wish there was more filling), Mushroom Dumpling (nice shroom flavor), Dungeness Crab dumpling (yummy), Baked BBQ Pork bun (bun was a little steamed) and Crispy Shrimp Blossom. If you are near the area this is a must try. I wish the sauce containers were a little wider, it was hard to dip my dim sum.

Be ready to Venmo or use cash.

My boyfriend and I discovered their booth at the Sunday Marin Civic Center Farmers Market in San Rafael a few days ago. After looking through their listed menu and seeing how long the line stretched out we knew we had to purchase some authentic dim sum! I'll review them below!

Sui Mai Dumpling~ I love sui mai and these were the best I have ever tasted! The shrimp was nice and succulent and the pork was very flavorful as well! Seriously order these mouthwatering traditional dumplings and thank me later, so will those tastebuds of yours!

Sea Scallop Dumplings~ If you love scallops as much as I do, then you'll be all over these delicious dumplings! Seriously order these and thank me later, so will your tastebuds!

Petrale Sol Dumplings~ I personally thought they could use a bit more oomph to them.

Crispy Shrimp Blossoms~ These were absolutely delicious, a nice crispy exterior and filled with succulent shrimp and flavorful pork inside! Seriously order these and thank me later!

I would highly recommend visiting for the best handcrafted dim sum around and we will definitely be back to try more of their large varied menu! They get their produce from local farmer's markets and have been in business since 2008!! Support this family owned mother and daughter team, @trugourmet on Instagram, especially now when they need our business the most!

We ordered their dim sum at the farmer's market. I love how they're at a farmer's market and they have a "chef's choice" for a number of different dim sum in one order. It's nice to have a variety when you don't want to order a ton of food! There was a mushroom one that was just excellent. They are on the smaller side so it's more of a snack or a light meal. Their bbq pork bun has all the flavor by a tad soggy.

Walking around the marin farmers market, there are so many food choices. This stall is the best food you could get at a farmers market hands down. There is always a line, so be prepared to wait. I waited about ~25 minutes, but once you get to the front, they quickly grab your dim sum for you. When I go, my favorites are the steamed bbq pork buns, the siu mai (pork & shrimp), and fun gor (chicken and mushroom). The dim sum is on the small side & a little pricey compared to Chinatown, but hey what can you say? still delicious and convenient. When we went they even gave a bbq pork bun sample!!!

I came here to grab food at the farmers market because dim sum sounded delicious on a cold, drizzly day. I was expecting larger portions especially for the cost. When I opened my four items: two dumplings and two buns, I was slightly disappointed at how tiny things were . It was supposed to be lunch but it was easily a snack. Each dumpling easily fit as a tiny bite and each bun could be consumed in a larger bite.

While it's nice that they have vegan and gluten-free options, I honestly can't justify these "gourmet" dumplings. The flavor was good, but not good enough for me to ever want to come back again.

      My four items.
The set up- which is pretty cool.
